Popshop Boise, Graphic Design 3 class, September–December 2016
During my Fall 2016 semester, my class created our own pop-up shop in downtown Boise, Idaho. All 20 of us developed all of the products for the shop which we sold at our storefront and online. I created three different products from one logo design that I created for Boise, Idaho. Below is the original two-color design that I made in Illustrator which I used for my sticker product.
This one-color version of the design is what I used for my t-shirts and posters which I screenprinted myself.
Poster
I sold posters of the design, which I individually painted with watercolors. I also did an acetone transfer of the Boise city map in a dark green over the paint. Then I screenprinted the logo in black on top. This is the look that I achieved from that and which I sold at our pop-up shop:
Sticker
I also got small, 3x4" stickers of the design which I had printed by a custom sticker company called Bong Stickers (which can be found online). This first photo is one of the pictures taken by my class's collective product photography shoot. The rest were taken by me, and also show the packaging I had with the stickers.
T-shirt
I screenprinted t-shirts with the logo in white on heather-gray, cottom fabric from Alternative Apparel. I printed male and female versions with sizes of small to extra-large. Below are photos from my class's collective product photography shoot.
On all of the shirts that I sold, I sewed on my personal logo. I screenprinted on a denim-style, white fabric and then sewed on to the bottom left side of on the shirt.
These last few photos were ones that I took of my packaging. I printed the logo onto cardstock and wrapped it around the shirt. The wrap included the price, our store logo, and my personal logo.
